Fan In Arizona Coyotes Jersey Throws Hot Dog At Forward Phil Kessel
Video shows a fan in an Arizona Coyotes jersey buy a hot dog at Rogers Arena in Vancouver and throw it at Coyotes forward Phil Kessel.
VANCOUVER, CANADA — The Vancouver Canucks are reportedly searching for a spectator in an Arizona Coyotes jersey who recorded video of himself throwing a hot dog at forward Phil Kessel during a game Thursday at Rogers Arena.
In a video posted — and since deleted — from Tik Tok, the fan, sitting a few rows behind the glass, shouts at the 34-year-old Kessel, "You're looking a little hungry." The fan then throws back a beverage, and tells the camera, "Don't worry Phil, I'll get you a [hot dog]."
Later in the video, the fan records himself ordering a plain hot dog from a concession stand. When he returns to his seat, he shouts, "Phil! Have no fear! Your hot dog is here!" The fan grabs the hot dog out of a food boat and shouts, "I got you boys!"

He then proceeds to walk down the stairs toward the glass and pumps the elongated, bun-bound sausage high above his head, before rearing back and hurtling the hot dog over the glass, onto the ice. The hot dog lands near a large logo in the middle of the arena as the fan celebrates for the camera. A referee can then be seen picking up and removing the food from the ice.
A spokesperson for the Canucks told the Daily Hive in an email: “What he did was completely disrespectful and not welcome at Rogers Arena. We won’t stand for it and are in the process of identifying this guy and determining what our next steps will be."

Kessel has appeared on social media with hot dogs in the past.
In August 2017, he posed for a photo with multiple hot dogs in the top of Stanley Cup. Kessel held a hot dog in the photo as well.
In a 2015 article, the Toronto Sun reported that Kessel ate hot dogs daily from a local vendor.
