Be sure to purchase tickets ahead of time, since the festival has sold out each year so far. (Phoenix Patch)
  2. The Phoenix City Council will soon consider whether to pay a $5 million settlement to the sister of a man who died following his arrest in 2017. Muhammad Muhaymin died after multiple police officers are accused of putting their body weight on him more than once during his arrest, including after he was restrained. Muhaymin was homeless and had PTSD and schizophrenia. (KJZZ)
  3. A group of parents started a GoFundMe to do something about a feral cat problem near the Phoenix Day School for the Deaf. Parents say this is a colony of more than 30 feral cats living in the area. They're seeking donations to help pay to capture, spay and neuter, and release the cats. Some areas of the school campus are off-limits to students, parents say, because of a buildup of cat excrement. (12 News)
