I-17 Reopens After Friday Assault On Police Officer, Collision
A suspect shot at a Phoenix police officer, causing a crash that's closed I-17 at Greenway in north Phoenix, police said Friday morning.

PHOENIX, AZ — Southbound Interstate 17 has reopened after a suspect shot at a police officer, then collided with two other cars, Phoenix Police said Friday morning.
The crash occurred around 9 a.m. on the Greenway Road exit in the Deer Valley region of Phoenix, with the suspect's blue sedan hitting a box truck and an SUV, police said.
The officer that was shot at was uninjured in the incident and the suspect was detained and transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

There were no serious injuries to anyone else involved in the crash, with three adults in the box truck transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
