  1. The Arizona Department of Public Safety reports that 162 pounds of meth were seized during a traffic stop in North Phoenix on Aug. 15. A trooper pulled over a 2012 Audi SUV in Cordes Lakes after observing multiple indicators of criminal activity. Minneapolis' Sergio Rosas, 36, was arrested on multiple drug-related charges.   2. The national conference for the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will be held in Phoenix from Oct. 2 through Oct. 4. The convention held a kick-off reception on Thursday night.   3. Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego reports that the Inflation Reduction Act is "good news for all of us" in Phoenix. The act was signed into law by President Biden this week. According to Mayor Gallego, the act gives residents numerous tools for affordable healthcare and energy. The $4 billion in funds to address the west's drought is reportedly a "gamechanger," according to Mayor Gallego. (ABC15 Arizona in Phoenix)
