Woman And Unborn Baby Killed In DUI Crash: Police
The woman was a passenger in a vehicle that was rear-ended in Chandler early Sunday morning, according to police.
CHANDLER, AZ — A woman and her unborn baby are dead and a man is charged on suspicion of two counts of manslaughter after an early Sunday morning wreck in Chandler during which police say the man was heavily under the influence of alcohol.
The 22-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, along with her unborn baby, Chandler police said in a news release. Three other people in the car with her suffered only minor injuries.
Ronald Enos, 33, is charged on suspicion of two counts of manslaughter, aggravated assault and endangerment, all felonies.

Police say that Enos's blood alcohol level following the wreck was more than three times the legal limit in Arizona, at 0.245.
As of Wednesday morning, Enos was still in custody at Maricopa County Jail.

The wreck happened around 2:20 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Arizona Avenue and Ocotillo Road, according to police.
Enos, who was driving a Jeep, is accused of rear-ending the car that the woman was a passenger in, while driving very fast. Enos was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
