Here are the top stories in Phoenix today:

  1. Not feeling up to making a big holiday spread this year? A long list of Phoenix-area restaurants are ready to do the cooking for you. Many eateries require reservations on Thanksgiving Day, so make your plans now. For locations that don't require reservations, make sure to call ahead to check their hours. Many restaurants are short-staffed at the moment, so plans can change quickly if employees call in or don't show up. (Phoenix Patch)
  2. Eastbound I-10 will be closed this weekend in West Phoenix. The interstate will be closed from 43rd Avenue and the I-17 interchange from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday doing work to improve pavement conditions ahead of the holiday. (Signals AZ)
  3. A Phoenix family is asking police to file charges against a hit-and-run driver who is accused of striking and killing 41-year-old Heather Fairchild in June as she crossed the street. The family says that police know who the driver is, but still have not charged her, even though she drove away after hitting Fairchild. (Arizona's Family)
  4. Phoenix Mexican restaurant Bacanora made Esquire's list of best new restaurants in America. Bacanora, which opened in February, serves mesquite smoked Sonoran food. Its chef Rene Andrade formerly worked at Ghost Ranch. This is his first restaurant. (AZCentral.com)
