SAFE Alert issued for 77-year-old last seen in Phoenix (ktar.com) — Authorities have issued a SAFE Alert for 77-year-old Teresa Estrada, last seen Wednesday near 67th Avenue and Thomas Road in Phoenix and considered vulnerable due to a medical condition that can leave her confused. Phoenix residents are urged to watch for her and call 911 or Phoenix police with any information that could help bring her home safely.
   

2. Arizona AG reaches deal with insurance company over unpaid first responder claims (azfamily.com) — Hundreds of Arizona first responders, including a retired Phoenix police sergeant facing $415,000 in medical bills, may finally see relief after the state attorney general struck an agreement with Thin Blue Line Benefits Association to pay outstanding claims. The AG’s office will monitor payments for 60 days and is urging impacted Phoenix-area members to report any unpaid bills as potential lawsuits loom.
   

3. B.R.A.K.E.S. teen driving safety program comes to Phoenix Raceway Dec. 13-14 (azcentral.com) — A free B.R.A.K.E.S. teen driving safety program is coming to Phoenix Raceway in Avondale this Saturday and Sunday, offering three-hour, hands-on crash-prevention sessions for new drivers and their parents. With multiple time slots each day and proven results in reducing crashes, the program focuses on real-world skills like emergency maneuvers, sharing the road with big rigs, and handling traffic stops.
   

4. Valley musician with autism and blindness to perform National Anthem at NBA Game (abc15.com) — A young Valley musician who has performed the national anthem at events across the Phoenix area is now taking his clarinet talents to an Atlanta Hawks game after a viral video caught NBA legend Dominique Wilkins’ attention. Blind and autistic, he’s built a career by ear from local gigs to national stages, while still dreaming of performing with Andrea Bocelli.
