Phoenix Child Dies In Thanksgiving Day Drowning

Police say they're investigating the death, but suspect it was a tragic accident.

PHOENIX, AZ — A child has died in a Thanksgiving Day drowning in Phoenix, according to Phoenix police.

Rosemary Solis, who was almost 2 years old, died near 1000 E. Citrus Way in what police suspect was a tragic accident, according to police spokeswoman Ann Justus.

Police did not provide any more information on the drowning as of Friday morning, but reminded the public to watch their children around water as it only takes a few minutes for a child to drown.
