- The stolen Make-A-Wish Foundation statue was found damaged in Phoenix, according to police. Suspect Troy Burke, 32, was arrested and now faces multiple felony charges in connection to the Jan. 3 theft. Police are still searching for a second suspect; anybody with information is asked to call the Phoenix Police Department at (602) 262-6151 or Silent Witness at (480) 948-6377 for English and (480) 837-8446 for Spanish. - On Saturday, Phoenix-area residents can head to Walmart pharmacies for free health screenings. Walmart is hosting its first 2023 Wellness Day clinic from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., where customers can get free screenings and vaccines including COVID-19, measles, and pneumonia. - The City of Phoenix has chosen a contractor for the $50 million upgrade to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport’s baggage handling system. Des Moines, Iowa-based The Weitz Co. has been chosen to modernize the 32-year-old conveyor system in Terminal 4. The city also considered Sun Eagle Corp.; however, they went in a different direction.
