Phoenix Man Calls Cops About A Burglar, Gets Arrested
A Phoenix man who called to report a possible break-in at his apartment was arrested instead, police said.
PHOENIX — A Phoenix man called police Sunday evening to report a break-in at his apartment, but he ended the night in handcuffs instead.
The Phoenix Police Department said that John Harbison, 42, called offiucers to report a burglar at his apartment near 13th Avenue and Roosevelt Street. When officers arrived at Harbison's home, no burglar was found there was no evidence of a break-in.
Instead, cops found a large stash of drugs and drug paraphernalia, including thousands of blue fentanyl pills and a baggie full of a white substance officers believed to be meth. The drugs were in plain view, according to police.

The department said that over 6,000 fentanyl pills, 392 grams of meth and over $4,685 in cash were seized at Harbison's apartment. He was taken into custody and now faces several felony drug charges. His bail has been set at $5,000.
It was unclear Monday if Harbison had retained a lawyer.
