PHOENIX, AZ — Phoenix Christian Preparatory School near 1700 W. Indian School Road went on lockdown Wednesday around 7 a.m. while Phoenix police pursued an adult burglary suspect on a school building's roof.

According to azcentral.com, the suspect was first discovered on the roof after a school maintenance employee heard the suspect making sounds overhead. The suspect wouldn’t come down from the roof when asked by the employee.

Police were then called to the school. Police said that after they arrived, the adult burglary suspect didn’t cooperate with them while an arrest was attempted, so officers used “less lethal tools” to enable the arrest.
