A Cadillac and an armored vehicle collided just after 7:30 a.m. on West Thomas Road in Phoenix, leaving three critically injured.

PHOENIX, AZ — Three people were critically injured, including a 11-year-old and 5-year-old girl, after a car collided with an armored vehicle on West Thomas Road in Phoenix, according to a Phoenix police report.

The incident, which happened just west of 83rd Avenue at 7:33 a.m., involved a Cadillac driven by a 29-year-old man who lost control and crossed into eastbound traffic, police said.

From there, the Cadillac collided with an armored vehicle, leaving the driver and two passengers in the car with critical and extremely critical injuries, according to the report.

Both the 29-year-old driver and 5-year-old girl are in critical condition, while the 11-year-old girl is in extremely critical condition, according to police.

Both the driver and passenger of the armored vehicle were not injured.

The Cadillac driver displayed signs of impairment, according to police, and authorities are saying that charges are pending further investigation.
