Two Men Killed During Home Invasion In Phoenix: Police
The people inside the home said they shot the young men in self-defense, according to police.
PHOENIX, AZ — Two young men were shot and killed Saturday morning, after being suspected of forcing their way into a Phoenix house, according to police.
The two men who were shot to death were Jairo Perez, 20, and Jose Gutierrez, 24.
When police arrived at the house at 27th Place and McDowell Road around 7:45 a.m. Saturday they found the two men laying on the ground in front of the house, suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

The two men were take to local hospitals, where they died from their injuries, according to police.
The three people inside the house were detained peacefully, and told police that they shot the men in self-defense after the men forced their way into the house, police said.

After police consulted with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, the suspected shooters were released, although police plan to submit charges to the county attorney's office for review.
