Unrestrained Child Dies In Phoenix Crash: Police
The 4-year-old boy was sitting on the passenger's lap when the car hit a tree, police said.
PHOENIX, AZ — An unrestrained 4-year-old boy died in a Wednesday evening crash, when the car the child was a passenger in crashed into a tree, according to Phoenix police.
The child was taken to a local hospital for treatment but was later pronounced dead, according to police. The man who was driving the car and the woman who was a passenger both suffered serious injuries and had to be extricated from the car, but are expected to survive, police said.
The child was sitting on the woman's lap when the crash happened, police said.

Around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, all three were in a Chevy Corvette, headed south on 67th Avenue near Highland Avenue when the corvette left the road and crashed into the tree, according to police.
