Here are the top three stories in Phoenix today:

  1. The City of Phoenix has given notice of its intent to increase solid waste disposal facility fees, as defined by Phoenix City Code 27-53, for disposal customers using the City's two transfer stations. The public notice can be found here. (City of Phoenix, AZ USA via Facebook)
  2. A video was recently released showing a person running across a Phoenix-area freeway and having a near miss with semi-trucks. On Tuesday, the person was spotted running across Interstate 10 near 83rd Avenue, which has six lanes of traffic, and was almost struck by two semi-trucks that passed by on each side. There were no injuries during the incident; however, president and CEO of the Arizona Trucking Association Tony Bradley believes this is a good reminder to always watch your surroundings and avoid distracted driving. (Arizona's Family)
  3. For the first time in six years, pop-punk legend Fall Out Boy will be returning to Phoenix this summer. The band will be touring in support of their new studio album “So Much (For) Stardust.” They will be stopping at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre (formerly Ak-Chin Pavilion) in Phoenix on Jun. 30, with supporting acts Bring Me The Horizon, Royal & The Serpent, and Daisy Grenade. Tickets go on sale today at 10:00 a.m. here. (KTAR.com)
