Veolia Expands Arizona Footprint with Strategic Acquisition

Company announces $3.04 billion acquisition of Enviri's Clean Earth hazardous waste business; Clean Earth maintains location in the area

Leading environmental services company Veolia is accelerating its North American growth with a $3.04 billion acquisition of Enviri’s Clean Earth hazardous waste business, set to close mid-2026. Clean Earth operates a Phoenix location, adding to Veolia’s growing presence in the region.

This move follows Veolia’s recent acquisition of Chameleon Industries, a specialty chemicals producer with operations across Greater Phoenix. Chameleon’s circular economy technology repurposes semiconductor byproducts, supporting Arizona’s booming tech sector while reducing waste.

Veolia already provides municipal water and wastewater services in Phoenix and operates a regulated waste transport facility. The company also opened a new hazardous waste facility in Scottsdale to serve the semiconductor industry, doubling its local capabilities.
