Woman Found Dead In Phoenix Apartment, Homicide Suspected
Police say a man they have yet to identify is considered a suspect in the death of a 50-year-old woman near 15th Avenue and Camelback Road.
PHOENIX, AZ — A 50-year-old woman was found dead in a Phoenix apartment Monday night in what police in the city say is considered a homicide. Police responded to the residence in the 1500 block of Pierson Street, just south of Camelback Road, around 9 p.m. on a call of an injured person and found the woman dead. She was not identified as of 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Firefighters also responded and identified a hazmat situation at the apartment and "quickly stabilized it," Sgt. Ann Justus, a spokeswoman for the Phoenix Police Department, said.
Phoenix police say there is one suspect, a man who has not been identified.
