- Students from Camelback Desert School in Scottsdale donated $500 in gift cards to Child Crisis Arizona, which provides support services to vulnerable families, youth, and children in Arizona. The students collected gift cards during December to help families during the holiday season. During the collection, students learned how to help others and spread kindness. - The Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction set an opening weekend attendance record during the Family Day and the Future Collector Car Show. Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson, mentioned, "it's incredible to see this level of enthusiasm from the hobby," and he is excited to see what the week ahead will bring. Some of the weekend's highlights included a partnership with the Driven Project to provide supercar therapy to children battling serious illnesses and life challenges, a 2002 Honda S2000, and the Opening Night Gala. - Moon Valley Nurseries, a plant and tree nursery, is celebrating its expansion into a new Scottsdale corporate office with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, property tours, and interviews with its leadership team. The company has remained a leader in the Southwest nursery industry for decades due to employee training, and this new space will allow them to continue enhancing its training program. The space features offices and cubicles for over 70 employees, meeting rooms, and open seating areas. (WYMT)
