2 Bodies Found Sunday Morning In Scottsdale's Papago Park

Phoenix police said two bodies were found in the Papago Park area in Scottsdale on Sunday, one on a trail and the other in a body of water.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Two bodies were found in and near Papago Park in Scottsdale Sunday morning, according to an updated local news report.

The first body found in Papago Park was called in around 8 a.m., when police confirmed a body was recovered on a trail in the area of Gavin Parkway and McDowell Road, according to a FOX 10 Phoenix report.

A second body was found in a body of water in the park later that morning, the report states.

Police had not identified either person as of late Sunday afternoon. It also wasn't immediately known how either of them died.

Police still had a portion of the park closed as investigations continued late Sunday afternoon, according to FOX.
