- The first phase of the Scottsdale Civic Center is planning to open on Jan. 22. After being under construction for nearly a year, the Civic Center will host the Arizona Concours d'Elegance collector car exhibition as the first event in the new center. The remainder of the Civic Center still under construction is expected to open sometime in late March. (City of Scottsdale)
- The Scottsdale location of P.F. Chang's is planning a celebration for the Lunar New Year and the restaurant's 30th anniversary. The free public event will feature live art, an outdoor pop-up bar, and Lunar New Year decor. The event will run from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27. (Subscription: Daily Independent)
- A Scottsdale-based nonprofit which specializes in using horses for therapy for first responders is ending its services. The nonprofit cited the lack of funding as the reason. The services used a six-week program working with therapy horses to help first responders who are suffering from mental health issues. (Arizona's Family)
