Here are the top three stories today in Scottsdale:

  1. The Barrett-Jackson annual car auction is in full swing here in Scottsdale until Jan. 28. One of the amazing cars going up for auction is the first-ever 2024 Ford Mustang GT, which Ford is auctioning off with the intent to donate proceeds to a type 1 diabetes advocacy and research organization. This auction will mark the third generation of VIN 001 Mustang vehicles to be auctioned for charity. (Fox 17)
  2. The Super Bowl is almost here, and one of the many events around the valley will include the recently-announced ESPN live broadcast at Old Town Scottsdale. The ESPN Tailgate Event will run from Feb. 8-11 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. On game day, Sunday, Feb. 12., the event will run from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Local Today)
  3. Multiple artists are planning tour stops in nearby Phoenix this year with tickets going on sale for the various performances soon. Kali Uchis will be at the Arizona Financial Theatre on May 30; Beck & Pheonix will be performing at the Footprint Center on Aug. 11; Nickelback will be making a tour stop at the Footprint Center on Jul. 12.
