Here are the top three stories today in Scottsdale:

  1. The Arizona Department of Transportation announced that there will be no scheduled closures along freeways in the Valley from Wednesday, Feb. 1 to Wednesday, Feb. 15. The decision aims to prevent traffic issues for the Super Bowl and its related events as well as the Waste Management Phoenix Open in Scottsdale. (Subscription: Daily Independent)
  2. More than a hundred people and state lawmakers gathered on Sunday to discuss potential solutions for the Rio Verde Foothills water access. Officials in attendance included Sen. John Kavanagh who suggested that he propose a bill where Scottsdale would be fully reimbursed to pipe water into the community and could stop if its own residents end up in a water shortage.   3. Mike Ward Autmotative's grand opening party for its new Scottsdale luxury car showroom featured a Czinger Vehicles 21C. The $2 million performance car debuted at the showroom for the first time in Arizona during Wednesday's grand opening event. (ABC15 Arizona in Phoenix)
