- Two Senators, representing Tempe and Scottsdale, have expressed differing views on a proposed bill that would prohibit cities from taxing groceries purchased for home consumption. The Arizona Senate passed the bill along party lines on Monday, and it is estimated to save citizens more than $161 million annually. However, Gov. Katie Hobbs has yet to indicate whether she will sign the bill into law. (Subscription: Daily Independent)
- Scottsdale Unified School District is conducting an investigation after students allegedly vandalized school property with hateful images. The incident occurred at Desert Canyon Middle School during a lesson on World War II and the Holocaust, causing damage to instructional materials. The district confirmed the incident to ABC15.
