Here are the top three stories in Scottsdale today:
- Scottsdale Arts is planning to host its annual ARTrageous Gala on Apr. 1. The outdoor gala will take place at the newly-renovated Scottsdale Civic Center and will follow this year's theme of "Bloom." The event will feature performances from the performance art collective Quixotic, which also performed during last year's Luminescence gala. (Subscription: Daily Independent)
- Scottsdale-based Greenlight Communities announced that it will invest $697 million to fund the development of around 3,686 affordable apartment units. The various communities will be in Phoenix, Glendale, Mesa, Pima County, and Tuscon. Greenlight currently has 14 communities at various stages of construction throughout the Valley. - A new gastropub recently opened at the Hilton North in north Scottsdale. Desert Pony Tavern is a Southwest-inspired eatery that offers open-air seating and breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. The restaurant features a $25 breakfast buffet every day from 6:30-10:30 a.m. (Mouth by Southwest)
