Here are the top three stories today in Scottsdale:

  1. Join the Scottsdale Civil War Round Table on Mar. 21 at 4:00 p.m. as it hosts author Eric Wittenberg at the Civic Center branch of the Scottsdale Public Library. Wittenberg has written more than 20 books and will speak during the seminar about the Union cavalry's operations during the Battle of Chickamauga. The event is free and open to the public. (Subscription: Daily Independent)
  2. A new restaurant has opened in Old Town Scottsdale. Pour Decisions Patio & Kitchen, the newest venture by Ginger Monkey's Jackson Armstrong, takes up the space formerly used by Old Town Gringos and the former Loyalty Lounge. The new eatery is open for dinner Mondays through Fridays and brunch and dinner on Saturdays and Sundays and features small bites and cocktails. (Mouth by Southwest)
  3. Mack Real Estate Group has submitted a pre-application proposal for Phase II of its Scottsdale business park master plan even though its Phase I plans are still pending a hearing with the Scottsdale Development Review Board. The new plans propose reviews for four one-story buildings that will take up 27.5 percent of the company's property in the area. (AZBEX)
