Scottsdale House Fire Requires Crews From 3 Cities

Fire crews from three different cities were called to put out a house fire in Scottsdale that killed a dog early Thursday morning.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Fire crews from three cities pitched in to put out a deadly house fire Thursday morning, Scottsdale Fire said.

Crews from Phoenix, Tempe and Scottsdale were called to a blaze at a single-story residential home near McDowell and Hayden Roads just before 3 a.m.

The Scottsdale Fire Department said firefighters had some difficulty getting into the house due to the amount of items inside, which is why so many crews were called in to assist.

Scottsdale Fire said that the three adults living in the house escaped unharmed, but their dog did not make it out. There is too much damage for the residents to return to the home, according to officials. No firefighters were injured on the job and no other houses were affected.
