- The Scottsdale Jazz Festival, a tribute to International Jazz Day, has announced that it is expanding to become a two-day event that will take place on Apr. 29 and Apr. 30 at the new Scottsdale Civic Center. The festival will feature a lineup of world-class artists on three stages and will include multiple food and beverage vendors from the local area as well as from around the world. Tickets for the event are on sale now at the festival's website at https://scottsdalejazzfest.org/. (Digital Journal)
- The City of Scottsdale will be hosting a special free event to honor Vietnam veterans during National Vietnam Veteran Day on Wednesday, Mar. 29. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the 360 Stage at the Scottsdale Civic Center and will include live music, food, and the chance for the community to learn more about our local Vietnam veterans and their stories and history. - Benchmark Technologies recently celebrated the grand opening of its new precision technologies facility in nearby Mesa. The new 64,000-square-foot facility, which will manufacture parts that are used in the equipment that makes semiconductors, is expected to create 100 new jobs in the area and will start with hiring 55 people.
