Bobcat Kills More Than A Dozen Animals At Tucson Petting Zoo

Tucson Petting Zoo & Funny Foot Farm lost 18 chickens, a lamb and a peacock.

TUCSON, AZ — More than a dozen farm animals died as a result of a bobcat getting into the Tucson Petting Zoo & Funny Foot Farm. Surprisingly, the farm's owners weren't overly disturbed by the killings.

"We had some excitement on the farm this January, our first predator! It may seem a little odd to be excited about it, but if you haven't noticed, we are a little odd," the farm posted on its official Facebook page.

According to Marc Hammond with Animal Experts, Inc., the farm lost 18 chickens, a lamb and a peacock before capturing the bobcat.

"It was by the grace of God that I was able to trap him," Hammond said via Facebook. "We put every possible lure into the trap, and we got him."

After capturing the bobcat, Hammond said he safely relocated it about 40 miles away from the farm.
