Border Patrol Says Woman Gives New Meaning To Sitting On The Pot

Border officials say that a 61-year-old woman was found sitting on thousands of dollars worth of marijuana hidden in the seats of her truck.

TUCSON, AZ – A 61-year-old woman is under arrest after officers from Customs and Border Protection found thousands of dollars worth of marijuana hidden in the truck she was driving from Mexico. Officials say that the woman has 22 pounds of marijuana hidden in the truck.

The woman was crossing the border back into the United States when she was referred for a more detailed inspection. A drug detection dog indicated that there might be drugs in the Toyota truck.

Officers found he marijuana in packets hidden in the seats of the truck.

The woman, whose name has not been released, is charged with smuggling.
