Fall Weather Headed For Tucson Next Week
Temperatures are expected to drop with highs in the low 70s and lows in the mid-40s.
TUCSON, AZ — A true fall chill is headed for Tucson.
“We’re seeing a large storm system that is moving into the Southwest United States,” said Mark Olsen, National Weather Service meteorologist. “It’ll push a strong cold front through the region and temperatures will cool off some 15 degrees below what they are currently.”
By the middle of next week the National Weather Service predicts the air in Tucson to feel more like November than October. Daily highs are expected to drop from around 90 on Friday to around 72 on Tuesday with a chilly low that night of 44 degrees.
The expected high on Wednesday is 72.
The cooler weather is only expected to last a couple of days, Olsen said. By the end of next week temperatures are expected to begin to climb.
In addition to cooler temperatures the Tucson area should be mindful of particularly breezy conditions next week.
“Think about that if you’re putting up decorations for Halloween or any other outdoor activities,” Olsen said.
