Tucson Forecast: Temperature Ties Record, Hot Weather Staying
At 3:40 in the afternoon, the temperature hit 96 degrees, tying the record set in 1989.

TUCSON, AZ – If you thought that it was hot on Tuesday, you were right. The temperature hit 96 degrees at 3:40 p.m., tying the record that was set in 1989.
Tuesday was 15 degrees hotter than average.
It's going to remain hot on Wednesday before cooling off for the weekend when highs will only get to the 70s.
