Tucson Man Indicted On Charges He Voted Illegally From Jail
The man is accused of registering to vote and voting while he was an inmate at Pima County Jail, authorities said.

TUCSON, AZ — A Tucson man was indicted on charges he falsely registered to vote and illegally voted while he was an inmate at the Pima County Jail, according to court documents.
A state grand jury on Sept. 13 indicted Kenneth R. Nelson, 45, on three counts of illegal voting and one count of false registration, according to court documents.
Nelson is currently in custody at the Pima County Jail. His bond was set at $250,000.

Nelson is accused of illegally voting in the 2018 primary and general elections and in the 2020 general election, according to Assistant Attorney General Todd Lawson, who is prosecuting the case.
The indictment accused Nelson of falsely completing a voter registration form in 2018, claiming that either he had never been convicted of a felony or that his voting rights had been restored.
