Tucson Police Investigating Fatal Shooting That Killed Two Men

The Tucson Police Department is searching for clues after two men were found with fatal gunshot wounds on Wednesday night.

TUCSON, AZ — Two men died in a shooting that occurred just after 11 p.m. on Wednesday night.

Authorities said that 22-year-old Bernadino Santamarina and 23-year-old Christopher Luis Nunez were pronounced deceased on the scene of the shooting, which occurred in the 5500 block of South Forgeus Avenue.

Responding officers found the two men with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle that was had collided with a wall outside of an apartment complex, police said.

Investigators reported that the two men were involved in a confrontation with a group of people in a nearby parking lot prior to the shooting.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing and anyone with information on the incident is asked to call 88-CRIME, with callers able to remain anonymous.
