Construction Schedule for Canwood Street Project

Roadwork will begin next week.

The Canwood Street Improvements Project, the first phase of the Agoura Road Widening Project, begins construction the week of April 29th.

The following is the schedule of what to expect during the roadwork as posted on the city website:

Week of April 29th – Contractor is to mobilize. BMPS to protect Catch Basins will be installed. Surveying crews will be out onsite staking project. Potholing crews will be on-site taking samples of the pavement with mobile traffic control. Additionally, No Parking Signs will be up providing notice to residents of impending parking restrictions.

Week of May 6th – Contractor is to start installation of Traffic Control for Phase 1. Demolition of existing curb, gutter along South side of Canwood Street, between Forest Cove and Strawberry Hill will begin and installation of slope reinforcement to start. Eastbound traffic will be closed starting this week along Canwood between Forest Cove and Strawberry Hill. Detours will be in place.

TRAFFIC CONTROL

Please be aware that the following traffic controls will be expected for the Canwood Street Improvements project (Please see exhibit below).

Phase 1a/1b is expected to be in place from the first week of May until early June. Eastbound traffic will be closed from Forest Cove to Strawberry Hill and a detour will be in place.

Phase 2a/2b is expected to be in place during the 1st week of June. Expect traffic to be controlled by flaggers during working hours. Both lanes of traffic will be open after working hours.

Phase 3, 4 and 5 is expected to be in place from Mid-June to Early July. Expect traffic to be controlled by flaggers during working hours. Both lanes of traffic will be open after working hours.
