The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public’s help in finding the driver responsible for a hit-and-run incident that injured an elderly female pedestrian.

At approximately 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, the pedestrian, a white female in her 60's, was struck while crossing in the marked crosswalk at the intersection of Kanan Road and Fountainwood Street by a 2008-12 dark grey Audi A4 four-door sedan, according to a police report.

Witnesses say the car, driven by a white female in her 20's with long dark hair, fled the scene, traveling north on Kanan toward Oak Park. She did not stop to aid the victim who suffered severe injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, said Det. Mike Ranes of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station.
