Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority Acquires Ladyface Mountain Property
After the acquisition, the region's unspoiled territory will be preserved.

The L.A. County Board of Supervisors have approved the acquisition of the Ladyface Mountain property by the Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority, according to a report released through Zev Yaroslavsky, county supervisor.
“In terms of interior, non-coastal acquisitions, there hasn’t been anything this big in a long, long time,” Paul Edelman, chief of natural resources and planning for the organization, said in the report.

The acquisition of more than 525 acres in Cornell would mean that a large section of the wildlife habitat will remain unchanged by development or other human activity, said the report.
“It will always be there,” Edelman said. “It’s something we can count on.”
