Police Nab Agoura Hills Burglary Suspect

The 48-year-old man is believed to be involved in nighttime commercial burglaries in three counties.

A man police believe is responsible for a string of commercial burglaries, including some in Agoura Hills, has been arrested.

Timothy Bertram, 48, was arrested by in Santa Barbara County by detectives from the Lost Hills Sheriff’s station on Nov. 12, according to The Acorn.

The nighttime burglaries allegedly span three counties, authorities told the Ventura County Star. Bertram, of Stanton, was arrested by Lost Hills investigators in Carpinteria while driving a black Chevy Silverado. That vehicle was seen in surveillance footage from one of the burglaries.

When arrested, Bertam, possessed property linked to nighttime burglaries to churches, medical offices, and other commercial buildings. He also had identity theft-related materials, said Lt. Jim Royal of the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station.

Royal told The Acorn that Bertram is “allegedly a prolific commercial burglar who has outstanding arrest warrants and also may have been involved in largescale identify thefts.”

Investigators intend to sort through the recovered stolen property to return it to its owners. Call the Lost Hills station at (818) 878-1808 if you have information or want to recover any property.

Though he previously lived in Orange County, police believe Bertram “has been living in various areas of Ventura County in recent months.”
