1 Killed In East Bay Shooting, Killer At Large
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
OAKLAND, CA — One person was killed in a shooting in Oakland on Wednesday, according to the Oakland Police Department.
The shooting happened on the 700 block of 17th Street just before 5 p.m., according to police.
“When officers arrived, they located a victim with a gunshot wound(s),” said an Oakland Police Department spokesperson. “Medical personnel arrived and confirmed that the victim was deceased.”

The identity of the victim has not been released at this time. The shooting is being investigated as a homicide, and the investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
