20 Stolen Vehicles Uncovered In Oakland: CHP

Police also say they found two unregistered firearms in the home.

OAKLAND, CA — Twenty stolen vehicles were recovered in a search of an Oakland property, the California Highway Patrol said Saturday.

Besides those vehicles, they found two vehicles with swapped vehicle identified numbers, three commercial vehicles, a dump truck of stolen vehicle parts, and 15 additional vehicles, the CHP said on social media.

Auto-theft teams that executed the search warrant on Oct. 17 included investigators assigned to the Northern Foreign Export and Recovery team, with assistance from the Alameda County Regional Auto Theft Task force, the CHP said.

While searching the property two unregistered firearms were located.

Stolen vehicles or parts from them are often resold without the buyer being aware until they're contacted by law enforcement, the highway patrol said.
