OAKLAND, CA — Three teenagers were among seven people arrested in a month-long investigation into a carjacking and takeover robbery, Oakland police said Friday on social media.

Officers seized 10 firearms including an assault-style weapon in the arrests on Thursday involving the U.S. Marshals Service, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives
and police from Antioch, Pittsburg and Merced.

The investigation originated with a carjacking and takeover robbery on Jan. 30 in East Oakland and may have extended to multiple violent crimes in the Bay Area, police said.
