Alameda For Altadena: Community Benefit Event Sunday

Night Heron Bread will host a fundraiser on March 2 to support fire-affected families.

ALAMEDA, CA — It's been almost two months since the Easton fire tore through Altadena in Southern California, killing more than a dozen people and destroying 9,000 buildings — from homes to schools to places of worship.

The Alameda community is coming together to support families impacted by the Eaton Fire with a special benefit event, Alameda for Altadena, on Sunday, March 2, from 10 a.m. – noon at the Healing Garden, 1435 Webster Street.

Hosted by Night Heron Bread, a neighborhood bakery owned and run by two food professionals, the event will raise funds for Letters from Altadena, a nonprofit dedicated to assisting families affected by the fire. Attendees will enjoy a delicious breakfast menu, including:

  • Sourdough French toast and pancakes from Night Heron Bread
  • Espresso drinks from Tetrahedron Coffee
  • Bacon
  • Fresh juice

Local chefs and volunteers are coming together to craft a memorable morning, from manning the griddle to roasting fresh coffee.

In addition to food, the event is expected to feature music and family-friendly activities.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children. Tickets will be available at the door.
