Alameda County Seeks Community Input On Transportation

The Alameda Countywide Transportation Commission wants residents to share their transportation perspectives via a survey and feedback form.

ALAMEDA, CA — A survey and feedback form that will have an impact on Alameda County’s “2026 Countywide Transportation Plan” are now available online, city officials announced Thursday.

County residents are asked to share their opinions via a “Community Survey,” which includes eight questions and takes approximately five minutes to complete. The survey will be open through October.

Multiple choice questions in the survey include “We want to make roads safer so people are not seriously hurt or killed in crashes. What do you think are the biggest safety problems?”; “Where do you think we should make roads safer first?”; and “We want to help more people choose to walk, bike or take transit instead of driving alone. How do you think we can make this happen?”

Responses will help shape the county’s transportation plan, which has the four goals of “safety, equity, climate, and economic vitality,” according to the Alameda Countywide Transportation Commission.

  • Staff will review project and program ideas submitted by local jurisdictions and partner government agencies.

Winter 2025 and 2026

  • Staff will share updates with the commission on needs, gaps and opportunities and on draft plan recommendations.

Spring 2026
