Alameda Gas Leak Capped After Evacuations Ordered
Roads were briefly closed and people were asked to evacuate the affected area.

ALAMEDA, CA — PG&E has resolved a gas leak that prompted evacuations in Alameda on Wednesday morning, according to police.
Alameda police initially wrote on Twitter at 8:41 a.m. about the leak, which prompted the closure of an area between Eagle and Buena Vista avenues and Webster Street and Constitution Way.
PG&E crews responded and capped the leak, allowing the roadways to reopen as of shortly after 9 a.m., police said. No other details about the gas leak were immediately available.
