Alameda Gets Shout-Out In List Of Local Breweries

Not only does this brewery serve craft beer, it's also family-friendly.

ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda is blessed with several local craft brewers but just one landed on a recent family-friendly list compiled by the East Bay Times. Almanac Beer Co. received recognition for creating an atmosphere that welcomes the whole family.

Kevin Scoles, executive vice president at Alameda’s Almanac Beer Co., said “We believe that creating a space that is family focused helps ensure that everyone feels welcome.”

The COVID pandemic forced patrons outside. “We felt like there was a need in Alameda to provide a family-friendly space that was outdoors,” Scoles said. “That’s what started us on this journey.”
