ALAMEDA, CA — Ah, the humble sandwich! From piled-high pastrami to ooey-gooey grilled cheese — nothing is quite as satisfying for a filling lunch. You've probably perfected your own favorites in your kitchen, but if you are looking to try a sub shop, cafe or deli, the Bay Area News Group put out a list recently of 16 restaurants to try around the Bay Area.

Several East Bay eateries made the list including Waterfront Deli in Alameda.

"Tucked along the water side of the Marina Village Yacht Harbor in Alameda, Waterfront Deli offers stunning views to pair with high-quality, affordable sandwiches made by a staff that knows its regulars by name," BANG writes.
