Alameda Police Arrest Suspects In Back-to-Back Armed Robberies

Police also recovered all the stolen property and returned it to their rightful owners.

ALAMEDA, CA— The Alameda Police Department arrested suspects in two separate robberies on Tuesday, Feb. 25, thanks to swift action from officers and vigilant community members.

The first happened around 12:30 p.m. at Alameda Landing Shopping Center, where officers responded to an in-progress robbery. Witnesses provided detailed descriptions, allowing police to quickly locate and arrest the suspect as they attempted to flee. A knife was recovered, and the stolen merchandise was returned to the business.

Later in the afternoon, officers were dispatched to reports of a possible battery in the 100 block of Maitland Drive. Upon arrival, it was determined to be an armed robbery. Officers swiftly located the suspect near Harbor Bay Parkway, recovering another knife and returning stolen items to both the victim and business.

In a Facebook post, the police department praised the witnesses, "A huge thank you to the Alameda community for their diligence in reporting these crimes directly to APD. Your actions help us achieve quick resolutions and keep our streets safe."

The overwhelming response to the post was positive.
