The operation follows a previous investigation in which police recovered thousands of dollars’ worth of stolen clothing being resold at businesses for profit, police said.
Alameda police are continuing to follow up on leads involving other businesses and entities that may be involved in fencing operations.
In the meantime, police recommend truck owners take extra precautions to prevent theft:

- Reverse park into spaces or back close to a wall or garage door.
- Ensure vehicle alarm systems are activated.
Police remind residents not to intervene if they witness a theft in progress, but to call 911 immediately.
The investigation is ongoing.
