ALAMEDA, CA — If you are looking for a new restaurant to try, Eater SF gave Alameda's Saltbreaker a place on its April list of Hottest New Restaurants in the East Bay.

After calling Saltbreaker a restaurant oasis, it elaborated, "The spot creates space for chef Justin Davis to use 'basic French techniques and principles to reinterpret California cuisine.'"

The Saltbreaker menu includes burgers, salads, and what it calls "bigs" and "littles." The little selections include Smoked Trout Rillette, Beef Tartare and Marinated Olives & Toasted Nuts. If you opt for the bigs your choice will include selections such as Ora King Salmon or Steak Frites.
