AT&T Hiring East Bay Native for Local Government Relations Job

AT&T made a new hire that should make a big impact on its community relations here in Alameda proper and throughout the county.  The company is bringing on Daren Chan as Area Manager of AT&T External Affairs in Alameda County. Chan is an East Bay native, who will interface with Alameda County commissioners and policymakers regarding AT&T’s new technology deployment and infrastructure investment in places like Berkeley, Oakland and Pleasanton.

“It is a pleasure to represent AT&T in my home community,” Chan said. “I look forward to working with local city and county leaders to bring our Alameda County area customers the best wireless network AT&T has to offer.”

Before joining AT&T, Chan had been a senior manager of corporate communications for PG&E in the Bay Area.  Previous to that, he led the PG&E regulatory team that worked with the California Public Utilities Commission.
