Crews Tackle Vegetation Fire Near Oakland Zoo
Traffic was impacted between the zoo and Burgos Avenue.
OAKLAND, CA — Firefighters responded to a vegetation fire near the Oakland Zoo on Sunday night, according to the department.
Oakland Fire first reported the blaze near Burgos Avenue and Golf Links Road on social media at just after 9:30 p.m. The fire grew to about 50 by 50 feet in size and approximately 25 firefighters were on scene.
By 10:10 p.m. the fire was extinguished, but traffic was impacted between the zoo and Burgos Avenue.
